Hi, I'm Paige.

I am a photographer, blogger, seamstress, designer, and mother.

The Pilgrim name has a story.

I started Lightnest, my brand of bags, women's clothing, and home accessories, in the fall of 2009. It was born from my love of vintage and modern design, flawless details in a handmade garment, sunlight and nature, working with my hands. Minimalism and simplicity. Creating something new. Redemption. Beautiful spaces.

I picked up a camera and learned how to use it in the winter of 2009, and the Lightnest brand grew to include my photography and sewing. 

As my body of work and recognition grew, I changed the name of my brand to Pilgrim. This was not only an effort to combine my blog and work as a streamlined identity, but on a personal level, it is something that resonates with me. It reflects where the journey of my life is taking me. The concept of pilgrimage is fundamental to my life, and really, everyone's life. 

For me, my work is a lifestyle-- I create things and mother my two little girls, my greatest creations, my best adventures. I love the creative process and the creative community, and my work brings so much joy into my life. It really is a tremendous gift. I have the privilege of working in my home studio while caring for my girls. My life is filled with color and bringing order out of chaos, the spark of interest leading to something new, and seeing my patience, hard work, agony and joy unfold into something beautiful.
